Superserious

Superserious, an indie band from Iceland, formed in 2021 with a mission to inject fun and irreverence into music. The band consists of Daniel (vocalist/songwriter), Kristinn (producer/bassist), Haukur (guitar/video editing), and Sólrún (drums).

Driven by a shared disdain for overly serious artists, Superserious creates powerful indie music inspired by The Strokes, Pixies, The Cardigans, and The Hives, blending alternative rock and indie pop. Their 2021 debut EP, “Let’s Get Serious,” featured the national radio chart-topper “Let’s Consume.” Their anticipated LP, “Seriously?”, is slated for April 2024, a collaborative effort between Kristinn and renowned Icelandic producer Arnar Gudjonsson. This partnership aims to elevate their songwriting and showcase the band’s evolution.

Superserious is known for energetic live performances, lauded as some of the most dynamic in Iceland. Their meteoric rise earned them "Best New Act" at Iceland Airwaves 2022. Even Rolling Stone editor David Fricke praised them, stating, “the band sounded great and is ready for a piece of this world,” solidifying their presence in the indie music scene.
