For 12 years, The Aristocrats – guitarist Guthrie Govan (Steven Wilson, Hans Zimmer, Asia/GPS), bassist Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Dethklok), and drummer Marco Minnemann (Steven Wilson, Joe Satriani, Steve Hackett) –have established themselves as one of the most musically original, refreshingly irreverent, and astoundingly entertaining instrumental rock-fusion acts on the planet. Their self-titled debut album in 2011, recorded in just eight days, followed their buzzworthy one-off gig at the Anaheim NAMM show. It was hailed as an instant classic, appearing on many "top ten" lists. Four world tours and three live albums later, The Aristocrats are recognized on five continents as a must-see musical experience. In 2024, the band released their fifth and most ambitious studio work, the concept album Duck. This unique album tells the story of an Antarctic island native, a web-footed duck, fleeing a penguin policeman to New York City, where misadventure and danger await. Duck elevates The Aristocrats' collective artistry to a new, albeit ridiculous, level.
